Tracy Wulf
4th - 5th Grade Teacher

kari.jpg Tracy Wulf brings over seven years of 4th and 5th grade teaching experience with her to the classroom as well as 3 years of collegiate teaching as a Co-facilitator and Partnership Resource Teacher in the Urban Teacher Residency Program at USF. Whether preparing her fifth grade students for their student led conferences, supporting teacher interns or collaborating with classroom teachers to establish best practices, Tracy is known for her compassion, vision and creativity. After three years of teaching college level courses to teacher interns and supporting teachers and interns in field work Tracy is excited to return to the classroom and put all that she’s learned and taught into action in her own classroom.

Tracy is an accomplished and effective educator amongst her notable experiences. As a 5th grade teacher Tracy implemented LEGO Robotics into the science and math curriculum and she was nominated teacher of the year in 2012. After finishing her masters in educational leadership Tracy continued her studies and completed 12 hours of doctoral coursework. Tracy has delivered presentations on innovative teacher education practices at national conferences. And, Tracy was one of three teachers in the district to be accepted as a resource teacher for the Urban Teacher Residency Program where she coached teacher candidates and their collaborating teachers on how to provide rich, clinical experiences in an urban setting.

Tracy is also a business partner in Sharpen Young Minds, LLC, an organization that provides professional development for teachers. With this group Tracy has traveled to Honduras to do teacher training and has recently been invited to Zimbabwe to train teachers there. While conducting teacher training in Honduras the group realized that one of the bilingual schools didn’t have a library so Tracy spearheaded a book drive and collected over 7,000 books which were shipped to the school in Honduras to begin their library.

We welcome Tracy and her family to Knoxville and we are excited that she will be joining our KJDS team!
